Stupid internet company. What's worse is, they didn't know there was a problem (A huge one concerning the data exchange) until they received annoyed customers breathing down there necks via many telephone calls.

Just to clarify my points:

I didn't quit EO.

Hello dear reader,

I realise I haven't posted as much as I should have been doing and I know that it might seem like i'm forgetting about you, but i'm not. It's just another case of writers block accompanied with a case of nothing worth writing about.

However, recently things have been going pretty well, let me list some of my most recent accomplishments:

I reach the illustrious level of 15 Hooray, thus allowing me to play with the shiny Energy Ball spell.

Whilst in the factory I found it to be uncommonly lacking players, giving me the opportunity to get some good leveling done, my luck was in as a proto wondered my way and thankfully was on the opposite side of the wall (got to love spells + wall vs robots). Long story short, I killed the proto and it dropped something, not just a Hero Plate but a MALE Hero Plate! GO ME! (Thankfully you can pick up through walls or i'd have to have waited until I killed the 2 cranes that were loitering around)

Pretty good if you ask me, but then again, it was good for me.

v .26 looks like it will be cool in my opinion, I had a perv at it and things look sharper... I wish main was as quiet as Test.

Hello dear reader,

I demand to see a doctor! I proclaim a self-diagnosis of writers block!

What makes us unable to create? Granted it's only for a few days, a week tops, but it's so annoying when I really want to post something interesting to read (Hey, look ma, i'm doing it) and my imagination is so so very limited to thoughts I wouldn't contemplate writing about.

About that Endless Fun series... I realised, there's actually not that many fun things to do on EO (Hiyooo) so I am going to list what I think could possibly be interpreted as fun right here, right now:

Leveling
Socialising
Exploring (yes, I know)
Fashion-ising?
Fantasising

Leveling is fun, when you actually level. EO should let you level more for the exp you get, seriously.

Socialising is great fun, what's better than hanging around with people who's company you enjoy and talking about random nothings or about who did what to who.

Exploring... See my last post lol.

Fashion-ising? (excuse the poorly constructed word) is one of the greatest things in EO, yesterday I dressed up in newb attire and had a really good time, deceptive but fun.

Fantasising is exactly what it says; when you drool over that expensive item you just can't quite afford, or the level you just need 10k exp to get to, I think fantasising is what makes a game so maybe that's too broad a 'thing' to list.

I hate ungrateful people. When you are given something for free, say thanks! Did your parents not teach you to say thankyou to kindship?!

Endless Fun Series: Episode One

Hello dear reader,

I type to you today hoping to bring a little EO fun to your life, with my Endless (pun intended) Fun Series I will, through a course of many episodes, explain in sufficient detail where and how to have the best kinds of fun in EO.

Unlike my recent posts where I am ranting at people who annoy me, I am attempting to bring more joy and happiness to the community (go me!), as such I will need your help too with comments and suggestions for the series' next episode.

Let us begin.

As every newbie knows, one of the most fun things to do in EO is to explore, I know that I had played for months before I explored anywhere near to the full amount of areas in EO.

But hold on now, not any old area will do... there must be excitement and a thrill, a reason to explore and be amazed at the prospect of something new inside.

I am going to rush ahead and presume you know your way to Estaq (Stronghold), the Beach, Castle, anywhere else you may scroll to and suggest you walk through the desert, all the way to the factory!

The factory

The factory is fast, intimidating and addictive, if you've never been I highly reccomend it.

Shall I? Why not.

Above is a sample of the factory, granted this picture shows the factory to be a lot worse than it actually is but it still is pretty bad lol.

There you can see 3 of the 4 different types of aggressive NPC's located within the factory, I'd also like to mention that I origionally took that screenshot because I was surrounded by so many NPC's at the same time.

This shot shows a rare event, 2 proto NPC's, which are the shall we say, boss, of the factory spawning at the same time. Luckily for me there were so many top 10 players hanging around, I didn't get the kills though.

Oh no it looks like I went off at a tangent, oh well...

Explore!

Stuff and things

Hello dear reader,

Throughout my travels in EO I have met many different types of people, nice people, annoying people, clever people, moronic people and many more.

I would like to announce my sheer loathing hatred for blockers and gloaty-ksers.

Yay I just got a 1.3k drop from the ninja boss! I now attempt to make my triumphant way towards my loot but instead I am immediately confronted with masses of players. Don't get me wrong, I know you can walk through them, I know they are jealous of my supreme killing skills but why oh why do they insist on trying to stop me picking up my loot?!

There is a 2 minute (I think) drop time where any item you earn is protected from the grimy mits of the would be thiefs... they know that, they know that you can get there before the 2 minutes is up but still they insist on trying to stop you. For shame!

On the note of blockers I would also like to rant at block-killers, yes you know, the people who intentionally move in your way so the big bad guy will kill you, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!

Just, stop that! Please. No? Fine. Screw you. Screw you like a cork!

Ealier I was (lol) trying (lol) to level up in the swamp when, oh yes, you guessed it, a KSer starts you know, KSing. I'm no simpleton, I know how to thwart a KSer, i'll use a timed attack or i'll even KS them back. When said KSer starts gloating that they've taken that precious exp you were working so hard towards, what can you do?

Well what I did was this:

"Just so you know, I put you on ignore so whatever you say I won't see", I was actually suprised at how well this work, I didn't actually put said kser on ignore as I wanted to read their reaction, it goes a little something like this:

"Oh swwy", "Hey are you there?", "Hi", "Dude?", "DUDE", "can I have some pots?", "pots", "ill stop acting like a little kid now", "dude", "hello?"

Ah sweet justice, he walked away.

So there you have it, ignore the problem and it will just cease to exist (maybe that's not such good advice but it works with gloating ksers)

Sorry to the people who want me to link you, I am not on my normal PC and unable to add your pretty picture to my links list, soon this will change but for now, bare with me.

A note on Debstar and stuff:

I was hanging around the factory, as you do. I crossed paths with Berdy, not so unusual, I then received a PM from him apologising for what he said to me yesterday, he explained that Oursavior and them had a falling out and he was stressed because of it, of course I can't hold a grudge and I totally understood anyway.

Debstar apparently doesn't get as much stress relief from EO that she once used to, I can't remember much of what was said as I was totally in awe of the fact that 5 cranes were decimated within 30 seconds... that would take me 20+ mins just because i'd have to run and shoot lol.

Anyway, I hope the message is plain: Berdy is human, a cool human too.

Hello dear reader,

Rest easy now and be assured, I am back!

The terrorists didn't get me, I arrived safely in England, my flight being the last to leave the airport (Or so I overheard) before the terrorist alert (You heard about all that, right?) was activated, my poor cousin had to re-schedule her flight (Co-incidentally we flew on the same day).

My luck was shining that day, my plane was safe and I was the first one to get my bag!

That reminds me of the time Vult reset the server and all the penguins spawned at the same time, me being the only one there I had a huge selection of penguin to fry... On that note, the drop rate SUCKS, I killed 13+ penguins and got 0 meat (I think it was that many, maybe more).

Unfortunately, it seems that in my absence a valued guild member has quit EO, he will be sorely missed, especially since I didn't get to say goodbye...

I also arrive to the news that debstar is quitting and v.26 version history is online.

I saw debstar ealier and asked her if it was her (I read that she was giving it away), she replied that Cass isn't ready yet, whatever that means, make of it as you will.

I also asked why she was quitting: "I know it's none of my business", "but why are you quitting"

Berdy replied with a "your right xen" then with expletives I will not utter in your presence.

(What the hell is xen?)

Cool, .26, quests, fixes, classes... all looks interesting.

I think I need to get back into the swing of things before I write another seriously amazing piece of literature.

Endless appearance modifcation.

Hello dear reader,

I know i'm not alone in this but it has now become one my favourite past times whilst waiting for that next spawn.

Sure, EO is a paperdoll game, and that's why a lot of us enjoy it so much, which is why I dedicate this post to the metamorphosis I go through daily after deciding what my character is wearing isn't up to scratch.

Unfortunately I couldn't post screenshots of what I looked like previously as they are all on a different computer, which is in a different country to me (go figure).

I love to see what I wore, it's like seeing yourself in a photograph of the past, seeing it you gasp and ask "Did I really look like that?, Oh no" *shakes his head with dismay*

EO is just like life in the sense that styles are always changing, helped along by version updates (Hello, white boots), players constantly search for the best combination of boot, shoe, clothing, weapon and hair to impress their friends and make themselves feel better (Well, I know I do... is that bad?)

On that note, how many times have you bumbped into a "twin"? or even a "triplet"? I know I have and it's a good laugh, some of my friends only began talking to me because of the twinship, "OMG twin"... true enough sometimes it can get silly... (Oh look, there's me again)

So what do I do to stay ahead of the game? (I'm sure people are copying my style!), I restyle my hair (Boy is that expensive, for a newb like me) recolour it, buy a forgotten piece of armour (Rogue cloak at the moment) and see how long it takes for others to follow my trend.

Ok, maybe i'm just being paranoid, maybe im being big headed, but maybe, just maybe, everyone wants to be just like me!

Hello dear reader,

Today was definitely an eventful day, aside from me actually being able to kill at least 7 cranes (A new record, inform the press), I won a player held event earning myself the illustrious prize of Twinblades!

Hurray! I actually wanted one of those so it's a big win!

But wait, there's more!

Not only did I win a random player held competition I also managed to win the inter-guild event, finding the guild leader and chasing him for 5 minutes, eventaully hitting him as the game required, winning myself one beautiful Heavy Eloff...

What's that? More you say?

No. There's no more. Isn't that good enough? Jeez.

And now, for the complete twist, I bring you the bone-chilling news ...

That is to say, I, Kalori, have played Endless Online, for over 600 hours. (type #usage)

Considering I started in version 23 (Yes, I know, I'm a newbie) that amount of hours is quite scary.

That's nearly a month!

What do we learn from this?
We learn that EO is an addictive game, the community (the good guys) and that excellent (lol) leveling system makes us (me) log on again and again, sucking the hours from our blinded souls until there is nothing left but a hollowed out shell that can do nothing but dream after the newest and best items.

I shudder at my lack of control. What can I say? I have fun.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank people for their kind words towards my first post and to appologise if this second isn't up to scratch.

Doesn't your mind reel at the thought of another fantabulous post from Kalori?

Hello dear reader,

Welcome to the crazy and exciting blog of Kalori (the great), from now on be ready to have your eyes dazzled and your mind whirling at the intense and wonderful images I create with my eloquent typing.

First on my agenda is to explain my reasons for creating a blog.

I love reading Endless Online related blogs, they fascinate me thoroughly.
I believe I have a nice way of writing things. (lol)
My views on Endless Online, which I will henceforth write as EO are something for you to read when you finally realise you've gotten sick of waiting 5 minutes for that spawn when you don't even get the kill anyway.

Second on my agenda is to write my first official rant.

A rant he says? Oh no, not another rant. Everyone rants, that's so unorigional.

Yes well, I have something origional to say! (Well, possibly not, but I haven't read this elsewhere recently)

Have you ever sat and listened to the monotonous never ending sound of players holding down that CTRL key whilst there not being any monster infront of them?

Oh and look, three more players have suddenly joined in! It's now a bonanza of sound! Hit after hit my mind is screaming in agony for them to shut up.

What do I do? I turn off the sound. It should seem like the key to end my suffering but unfortunately for me this has taken away the ability to hear when you are PMed or when some guildmate has started speaking to you, frustration against you mounts as people wonder why you are ignoring them when in truth you simply aren't aware they want your attention.

And the solution! I created a blank wav file with no sound! replaced the sound file and voila! no more headache.

For your enjoyment, I offer my cure to you: Blank.wav

What to do: Open the Endless Directory (C:/Program Files/EndlessOnline), Navigate your way to the SFX folder and replace any annoying sound effect (Such as attack) with Blank.wav. What you must do is rename the blank.wav as the filename you are removing so Enldess plays the blank wav instead of the annoying sound effect. (phew, did you get that?)

I would also like to express my hate towards robot tiles and cranes within the factory. At my current level of 12 I am able to withstand maybe 2 hits from a crane, they are possibly the most predatory of NPC's in the game, combine them with the crafty movement of robot tiles and you are now in a complex maze of green squares (on your map) to run for your dear pixelated life!

Needless to say I have died, many times, to this sophisticated hunting tactic, add an annoying blocker or 2 and you're on a one way ticket to your hometown.
